Who this is between.
This End User Licence Agreement is between you and Launchpad Creative, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("we", "us"), publisher of the Blindspot app (Google Play package app.blindspot). By downloading, installing or using Blindspot you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold a Blindspot account on Android. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Blindspot with a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms on your behalf.
What you may do with it.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Blindspot on any Android device that you own or control, as permitted by the Google Play Terms of Service. The licence is to use the app, not to own it.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where law allows that regardless;
- use it through automation, emulators or modified clients;
- remove or obscure any notice of ownership inside it.
One person, one account.
Playing requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.
Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current — it is how we reach you about your account, and how account recovery works.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deletion is scheduled with a 14-day grace period: sign in again during those 14 days and the account is restored exactly as it was. After that it is removed permanently and cannot be recovered. The Privacy Policy sets out what is deleted.
Play it straight.
Blindspot is a game about actually going outside and spotting real cars. So:
- Spot real cars, in front of you. Photographing a screen, a photograph, a poster or a toy is not spotting, and the app is built to detect it.
- Find them, don't tour them. A dealer's stock and a museum or collection are not spots; a street, a car park and a show field are.
- Do not cheat the economy. No faking location, tampering with the app or its network traffic, or using another person's spots as your own.
- Do not harass anyone. Handles, profile pictures and anything else you make public must not be abusive, hateful, sexual, or impersonate someone else.
- Obey the law while playing. Do not trespass, do not obstruct anyone, and never use the app while driving.
These are the short form. The full rules — what counts as a spot, what does not, dealer stock, replicas, and what happens to an account that breaks them — are set out in the Fair Play Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
If you break these rules we may remove content, reset spots or values obtained unfairly, or suspend or close the account. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why. A closed account forfeits any VIP Pass entitlement without a refund from us — see Fair Play № 10.
Yours, and where they show up.
You keep ownership of the photographs you take. To run the game we need permission to use them: you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable and transferable licence to store, process, reproduce, publish and display your photos and the content you submit, in order to operate, improve and promote Blindspot.
Your visibility setting decides how far that goes. Every account has one, and you can change it whenever you like:
- Public — other players can see your spots, and your spots are eligible to be featured in the app.
- Private — nobody else sees your spots, and they are never featured or shown to another player.
Changing it applies from that moment. It stops any further display, but it cannot recall a photo that has already been shown to somebody, shared onward, or published in a feature.
In practice the licence covers five things.
- Running the game. Identifying the car, generating its sticker, and showing you your own Garage.
- Showing your spots to other players. On a public account, the photograph a spot was made from — the source photo — may be shown alongside the sticker: to players who follow you, to anyone who opens your profile, and to anyone you send a share link to.
- Spots that expire. A source photo may be shown for a limited time and then stop being shown — a story rather than a permanent gallery.
- Featuring a spot inside the app. We may place a public spot, its sticker and its source photo in promotional or editorial positions within Blindspot itself — a featured find, a highlight of the week, a showcase of what people are spotting. Only public accounts are eligible.
- Checking that a spot is real. Our staff may review photographs when looking into suspected cheating, and that work does not depend on your visibility setting: setting an account to private hides your spots from other players, not from the people who keep the game honest. What we may do about what we find is set out in the Fair Play Policy.
Where a spot was found may become public too. Today the place attached to a spot is used for your card and your local standing. In a future version of the app it may be shown to other players — on a profile, on a map, or beside the spot itself.
Some of this does not exist yet. Public source photos and public spot locations are features we may introduce in a future version, and this licence covers them when we do. Where the law where you live requires your consent for a particular use, we will ask for it rather than rely on this paragraph.
Anything you deliberately make public — your handle, profile picture, Garage value, rank standing, or a spot you share — may be shown to other players and to anyone you send a share link to.
A spot is a social thing, not a private one. Blindspot is a game about showing people what you found. Treat every capture as something another person may end up seeing, and use the private setting for the ones you would rather nobody did.
What you give up. To the extent the law allows it, you waive any claim arising from our use of your content as permitted above — including any right of attribution, of approval before use, or of payment for it. Nothing here waives a right that cannot be waived under the law where you live.
Deleting your account stops all of this going forward and removes your spots from the app. As with the setting, it cannot recall a photo already shown, shared onward or published.
Be considerate about what is in frame, and more so now that a source photo can be seen by somebody other than you. Photograph cars, not people. Avoid capturing number plates, faces or private property where you can, and never photograph anyone who has asked you not to.
What this licence does not allow. We do not sell your photographs, we do not licence them to anyone outside Blindspot, and we do not use them to advertise to you. The promotional use above is inside the app.
The app, the art, the name.
Blindspot — the software, the sticker artwork, the rarity system, the design, the wordmark and the name — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Playing the game does not transfer any of it to you.
Car manufacturer names, models and marques belong to their respective owners. They are used to identify real vehicles, which is descriptive use, and imply no affiliation with or endorsement by any manufacturer.
The stickers, values, ranks and everything else inside the game are part of the service, not property, and have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.
The optional subscription.
Blindspot is free to play. VIP Pass is an optional auto-renewing subscription at $1.99 per week, $4.99 per month, or $29.99 per year with the first 3 days free. Payment is charged to your Google Play account, it renews automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current period, and you can cancel any time in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.

Every number is a guess.
Blindspot puts a dollar value on each sticker, names the car down to the trim, and rates its rarity. All of it is produced automatically by our identification system, and any of it can be wrong.
A sticker's value is not an appraisal. It is a game score derived from public pricing signals, and it is not a valuation for buying, selling, insuring, financing or declaring a vehicle. It is not professional, financial or investment advice. Do not rely on it, or on the specs, rarity or model identification, for any real-world decision about any car.
Vehicle identification is a best effort. Lighting, angle, modifications and lookalike models all throw it off, and it will sometimes name the wrong trim or year outright.
Stickers, values, ranks and rarity exist inside the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for anything, and confer no rights over any real vehicle.
We will not promise perfection.
We work to keep Blindspot running, but it depends on servers, networks, third-party services and the system that identifies cars, and any of those can fail. Features may change or be withdrawn as the game develops.
Where Google stands.
Blindspot for Android is distributed through Google Play, which means:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your download and any purchase are also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service, which you accepted with your Google account. Where those terms give you rights — such as Google Play's refund policies — nothing here takes them away.
- We alone are responsible for the app, its support and its maintenance. Google has no obligation to provide either. Support requests go through the contact form.
- We, not Google, are responsible for addressing any claim that the app or your use of it infringes intellectual property, fails to conform to legal requirements, or gives rise to a product liability or consumer protection claim.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms of service when using the app.
Sold as it is.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blindspot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any identification it makes will be accurate.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
The limit of what we owe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Blindspot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
Nothing in this agreement limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You play in the real world, around real traffic. You are responsible for your own safety and for obeying the law while using the app.
If you cause it, you cover it.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Launchpad Creative, LLC and its members, officers, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- your use or misuse of Blindspot;
- your breach of this agreement;
- content you submit, including a photograph you had no right to take or publish;
- your violation of any law or of anyone else's rights while using the app.
Either side can walk.
You may stop using Blindspot at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop operating the service.
If we close the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice in the app where we can, and any subscription you have paid for that extends past that point will be handled through Google Play.
Some clauses outlive the agreement. When it ends for any reason, these survive: what we own (№ 06), values and identification (№ 08), warranty (№ 11), liability (№ 12), indemnification (№ 13), disputes (№ 15) and governing law (№ 16).
Talk first. Then arbitrate.
Read this section. It affects how any disagreement between us gets resolved, and it means neither of us will have a jury trial or a class action.
Talk to us first
Most problems are a misunderstanding or a bug. Before starting formal proceedings, use the contact form to describe the problem and what you want. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you. Give it 30 days — a great many disputes end there.
Binding individual arbitration
If it is not resolved in those 30 days, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of this agreement or your use of Blindspot will be settled by binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Arbitration may take place in the county where you live, or remotely by video or on documents alone, at your choice.
No class actions
Claims must be brought individually. Neither of us may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative action, and an arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding.
What is excluded
- Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead.
- Either of us may ask a court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
You can opt out
You have 30 days from first accepting this agreement to opt out of arbitration. Send us a message through the contact form with "Arbitration opt-out" as the first line and the email address on your account. Opting out costs you nothing and changes nothing else — we will not close your account or treat you differently for it. If you opt out, disputes go to the courts named in № 16.
Whose law applies.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. For any dispute not subject to arbitration under № 15 — because you opted out, or because it falls in one of the exclusions — the state and federal courts located in Tennessee have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which this does not take away.
If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Blindspot after that means you accept the updated terms.
